Misery loves company means that if people are miserable, they don’t want to be miserable alone. Psychologically, this means that maybe people who have the same traits gravitate toward each other. For example, if I’m depressed, I’d seek out someone who may be depressed too. This could also mean that one person’s bad mood can ruin the mood of the other person.
Ronald Silver I think the term "misery loves company" means that miserable people make others miserable with they company. Sometimes this is intentional on unintentional. The person in question aka the “miserable party” may try to make every one else around them miserable. Like if you’re in a bad mood and someone else is in a bad mood you get along better than if some is in a bad mood and the other is in a good mood. A goo way to tell what mood some one is in is a MOOD RING, Those things are MAGICAL.
I believe the phrase misery loves company is very true. People do not want to be miserable by themselves. I think if two people are miserable together they like the company. I like this one honestly it is quite ironic that it came up as well. Truth be told this has many interpretations to it as say someone is mad they try make others mad as well. But when someone is depressed they push people away though they are miserable they are not trying to put other people down but the prensense of depression does it as others feel it unless they ar completely unempathetic. When i am upset i seek a companion that can help me change my mood to cheer me up so i say i love company when miserable but to releave said misery i do not try to bring others down like most do. In most cases a person is mad and upset they turn darker in a sense as in i.e. they are negative and unapproachable in any sense and this upsets others at the same time.
