Learning

What are negative consequences? What are positive consequences? What is secondary gain?

  1. Negative consequences of learning are that we cannot learn it all and we forget what we learn. The world is not possible to completely understand somthing but some people want to and try to and get obsessed with knowledge and throw away their lives for it. Positive things of learning is that the world can be taught and we learn what we need to know for life and survival in this crazy mess of life. I have no idea what secondary gain is so i cannot answer that sorry.

  2. Negative consequences are the bad result of a situation that has taken place. They say that every decision that you make has a consequence whether it be good or bad. If negative consequences are the bad outcomes then of course positive consequences have to be the good outcome of a certain situation that has taken place. I think that situation gain is what you get out of something that's happening.

  3. Negative consequences of learning are when you are not rewarded for your accompplishments and you feel some type of way. Or it can be when your a child and you learn how to something new and you are not rewarde you are punished because you did something wrong but you don't know right from wrong and you don't know why you punished. Some positive consequences of learning would be when you get a scholarship in school for achieving academic goals to an outstanding measures. Or it can be as a child when you learn how to walk or talk and you get so spoiled because everyone's happy you lerned how to read. Or when you birhtday comes and you get lots of attention and presents and you learn that thats your birthday. I think that secondary gain is when you learn after you already know what your doin it's things that you can add on to your learning exerience like when you learn from your mistakes.

  4. consequenses are conclusions derived through logic. there are many different types of negative and positive consequences. for example, negative consequences are like going to jail or getting killed, or being put on punishment, or a bad grade because you didn't study. it's a lot of them...just there is a lot of positive consequences like getting a good grade because you pay attention and study, or you get a lot of money because you found someone's dog. it's a lot like a saaid earlier. now secondary gain is like attention from others because you are sick or something. i'm not really sure. i think it's getting positive resluts out of something negative...

  5. Negative consequences are expect punishments for doing something bad or out of nature. Usually if you're a criminal a negative consequence could be jail. We're suppose to learn from our negative mistakes so we dont reap the consequences. Positive consequences are usually rewards for good behavior. Doing your work in school is a positive consequence for good grades. Helping an old lady is a positive consequence on how people view you. Learning from our negative mistakes, leads us to do postive things. Secondary gain takes all responsible away from us. It's an undesirable behavior in a positive function. Its usually a benefit of sympathetic attention. Deals mostly with mental illness.

  6. A negative consequence of learning is that we do not further our knowledge with important values. We as individuals are not able to understand everything right away. Some people gain the knowledge they need in order to succeed and then throw it all away. The positive consequences are that we can be taught by others and the world around us. I don’t know what secondary is...

  7. Learning can be both negative and positive. Some negative things would be somebody having a negative influence teaching them like a little kid learning the drug game at a young age from his parents. That kid will most likely grow up to be a future convict, so negative consequences from learning the wrong thing could be different depending on how serious you took the bad information that you were taught. Some positive consequences can be easily explained as you becoming successful in life due to the info you retained. Secondary gain iThink has something to do with getting a lot of attention idk never really heard of it like that.

  8. There are negative consequences to learning because it depends on what you have picked up. People can learn new habits that can result in bad health and consequences. For example like a child picks up a curse word from his parents and repeats it in school. A teenager learns how to smoke cigarettes and it be comes a habit she ultimately dies from lung cancer. Some Positives consequences depends on if you have learned some great things and have taken responsibilty for the knowledge that you have aquired. For example, a kid studies science and becomes a genius, now he have to deal with all the knowledge he obtains and the worlds depending on him for help. That stress and worry is a consequence that came from something positive. I am not sure what secondary gain is, but I would guess that it's something that you have gained from learning something eles first.

  9. Negative consequences of learning are that we do not learn the information that we may either need to or want to learn. Also, we tend to forget what we learn if we don't talk about it eveyday or often. Positive consequences of learning are that we can learn new things everyday that are useful to us. Alsos, the things that we may learn can come in handy when we are in critical situations or something like that. I think secondary gain is when you learn second-hand; i guess like if a friend just learned something & they tell you what they learned, you just experienced secondary gain (this is just a thought)

  10. The negative consequences of learning is that it is a long and tedious process. You sometimes have to learn for hours, days, years at a time in order to be accepted for what you want to do. It can be very difficult as sometimes you just won't understand it at all. The positive consequence is the knowledge you achieved after learning what you did. It can help you get further in life and know how and what to do. You can become more sociably accepted the more you learn. I think that secondary gain is what you gain along with the knowledge you already are receiving.

  11. To me, negative consequences are when you make a bad descision and then you have to deal with all the bad stuff that comes with that descision that you made. Then there are positive consequences which I feel are when you make good descisions and then the outcome comes out in a postive way. Ummm, I have no idea as to what secondary gain is!

  12. If I had to guess, I would say that a negative consequense of learning would be learning something wrong. Like if you see someone get killed in a gang fight. You saw who did it so it may be a bad thing if people know you are a witness. Almost every part of learning is a positive consequense. For example learning experiences in school are very good experiences. Almost everything you learn you could use for the best of your ability. Like when a child first learns to tie their shoe, they use that technique for the rest of their life. A negative consequense is like a child learning how to strike a match or something like that. If I had a chance to guess about 2nd gain, I would say that it is when someone learns something from someone else. Like its learning that isnt the trial and error method. A teacher could probrally be a good example.

  13. negative consequences are the times when you get in trouble and you would get groundedn or seomthing. when you do something bad then you'll get in trouble real bad, nothing positive about that. an example would be if you made a big mess in the living room and your parents made you clean it up. you get no treat unlike a positive consequence. positive consequences is when you do something good and you'll gain something good from it. the result is positive. it's like studying for a test and your positive consequence is getting an A on the test.

  14. Consequences happen when you make a decision whether it is bad or good. There are negative and positive consequences that happen from the choices we make everyday. Negative consequence is something that happens more likely when you make a wrong decision. The negative consequences usually are something like you steal, you go to jail, or you fight in school you get kicked out of school. Positive consequences happen when you do something good and make the right decision. The positive consequence usually are something like you get good grades, you go to the next grade, or listen to your parents and maybe they will get you a car. Secondary gain is the effect after the consequences take place. Whether you make a good or bad decision and have a positive or negative consequence you will always have secondary gain. Secondary gain is like the lesson you learn from the choices you make whether it be good or bad. You will always gain from a mistake and gain from a mistake you did not make.

  15. A negative consequence of learning is when you learn something you don’t want to know. This happens to me when people are talking around me and I hear things I would rather be off not knowing. A positive consequence of learning is learning things you need ot know in life. This could be simply learning how to read. Reading is one of the most important basic skills to learn in life. I don’t know what secondary gain is.

Some negative effects of learning could be learning the wrong things. Like you could learn how to steal a car, or how to fire a gun, there are a lot of bad things you can learn. There positive effects to learning too. Like you can learn C.P.R., or you can learn how to drive a car. Learning can be a positive or negative experience depending on the things you learn and who the person is that teaches you. I think secondary learning is like when you go to college and learn new things. Like elementary to high school is primary learning and college is secondary learning. I think that Watson had the most interesting experiment yesterday with little albert.

  17. Negative consequences are when you do something and you get penalized deeply like if you rob someone you will have to go to jail or if you do something and you never learn from it and you keep doing it. A postitive consequence is when you do something and you learn from it and try to figure out what or where you did wrong and how u put it into your day to day life. I think secondary gain is when someone learns something from experence n they teach you how they learned from it and you learn something new.

  18. Negative consequencs are punishments. They can be restrictions and learning experiences. if you do something and there is a negative consequence common sense would tell you not to do it again becasue the consequence is negative, why do something with a negative outcome? Negative consequences are good lessons and are the reasons why we grow and mature. positive consequences are good results. we get positvie consequences from action worth while. A positive consequnce could come from something good that you accomplish for the first time that awhile doing it you felt like it was a waist of time or like you could never accomplish it. i think a secondary gain is in the middle, its not bad but its not good.

  19. A negative consequence is a result to an action that caused sometime of affliction. A negative consequence can either make you learn or not make you long and can either cause a beneificial or detramental response to the consequence. A good consequence is a result to an action that caused no affliction but a good result, This consequence causes a good feeling so in the brain it is programmed that if you do that same thing you will get a good result. A secondary gain is something that we do individually, though there is a positive there is a negative to maintaining a positive.
